Imagine Visual Arts presents the interdisciplinary exhibition "REM", a fascinating presentation of works by artists Eugenia Galanopoulou and Andreas Nikolaidis. The exhibition will run from Saturday, December 9, 2023 to January 9, 2024.

Andreas Nikolaidis creates images using fire. His works, which are born from ignition on paper, are a pioneering medium of contemporary artistic expression. Even when he manipulates paper in seemingly destructive ways, such as burning, what emerges is fascinating as he has learned how to "control" fire and appreciate the power of chance. When he lets the flame burn, he creates a point before total destruction, where the real and the imaginary, the authentic and the artificial, the spoken and the silent, meet. Being complete, his works constitute a personal quest for continuous and lasting adaptation, recording the new experiences that shape the memory and interpretation of past events.

Eugenia Galanopoulou highlights her extraordinary ability to mine images through her paintings. Her artistic creativity is channeled into finding a balance between fiction and pragmatism with an architectural translation. Imaginary constructions, floating buildings, ladders and giant flowers take shape with ink, watercolor and acrylic, allowing the emergence of three-dimensional realities. Organic and architectural shapes overlap each other and create a scenario borrowed from bionics. Her images highlight a visual musicality through the rhythm of lines and the intensity of colors, creating a fascinating world rich in symbolism.

Overall, the "REM" exhibition curated by Art Historian Eleni Gatsa is a parallel exploration into the world of dreams and imagination through the works of two important artists, offering visitors a journey into the subversive beauty of art.
