A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Imagine Visual Arts presents the exhibition “Chryssa: Selected Artworks”, a landmark event for the Greek visual arts scene. Chryssa Vardea-Mavromichali (1933-2013), known internationally as Chryssa, was a Greek artist who carved her own path in the vanguard of sculpture as she highlighted neon as a sculptural medium, creating works that give form to light, writing and the urban landscape. With influences from ancient Greek calligraphy, the illuminated signs of New York City streets and the dynamics of minimalism, Chryssa created a language that continues to inspire.
The exhibition as a whole is a rare opportunity for collectors and art lovers to get to know Chryssa’s work up close.
