Lia Blioumi was born in Elassona, Greece. She studied Painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts in the Painting Laboratory with professor Dimitris Mytaras and Engraving in the Engraving Laboratory with professor Vicky Tsalamata, graduating with honors in both disciplines.She worked as a Secondary Education Speciality Art Teacher from 2001 to 2017. From 2009 to 2017, she served as an adjunct teacher in the elective compulsory Laboratory of the Technique of Nopography and the Technique of Portable Images at the Department of Visual Arts, A.S.K.T. Since 2017, she has been teaching as a member of the Department of Printmaking in the Department of Visual Arts at the School of Fine Arts.She has received five awards in art competitions and biennials.
